| Last Incident | The Great Laundry Storm |
Luna was a high-performance synthetic sports sock and one of the most physically capable members of the laundry load.
She represented the sports sock faction during the failed Cotton Accord negotiations and was widely considered the most resilient sock in the household.
Luna had completed three full wash cycles without damage — a record in the household at the time — and was considered by many socks to be effectively indestructible.
Her confidence, however, was also her most controversial quality. Fellow socks describe her as 'difficult to advise' and 'allergic to precaution.'
During the Cotton Accord negotiations in late February, Luna refused to acknowledge wool dress socks' right to a separate folding shelf.
This breakdown is now widely cited as one of the key social factors that prevented a coordinated response when the vortex warning came.
Witnesses place Luna near the drum door at 9:46 PM, one minute before the vortex fully opened.
Gary described her as 'shouting coordinates, pointing, completely in command — and then she was gone mid-sentence.'
Her synthetic composition may have made her particularly susceptible to the electrostatic pull of the vortex.
No fibre traces consistent with high-performance synthetic material were recovered from the lint trap.
